Slow-recovery foam for easier insertion

The 3M™ E-A-Rsoft™ Yellow Neons™ Metal Detectable Earplugs feature a natural tapered shape and smooth texture for a comfortable fit. Stainless steel beads embedded in ear tips make them detectable by metal sensing systems. Featuring a 32 NRR for work in the Food and Beverage industry. Bright yellow color is designed to help make them easier to spot for compliance verification.

Compatible with the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ Dual-Ear Validation System

E-A-Rfit™ provides an accurate quantitative assessment of how much noise reduction a hearing protector provides to an individual worker.

(U.S. EPA specifies the NRR as the measure of hearing protector noise reduction. However, 3M™ makes no warranties as to the suitability of the NRR for this purpose. 3M™ strongly recommends personal fit testing of hearing protectors. Research suggests that users may receive less noise reduction than indicated by the attenuation label value(s) on the packaging due to variation in fit, fitting skill, and motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations or guidance on how to adjust attenuation label values. It is recommended that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical protection.)

Disposable Foam Earplugs

3M™ Disposable Foam Earplugs, made from slow-recovery foam, help provide a combination of comfort and hearing protection for users. Once the foam earplugs are compressed into small cylinders (rolled down), they are easy to insert into ears where the slow recovery foam expands to fit the ear canals. 3M™ provides a wide range of disposable foam earplugs so you can choose the best solution for your needs.

The right fit test. Right now.

The challenge of hearing protection

Millions of workers are exposed to hearing hazards every year, and even though OSHA regulations and NIOSH recommendations in the U.S. require protection, occupational hearing loss is still the number one reported worker illness in manufacturing.

You can advance your hearing conservation program with a customized and comprehensive approach to the hearing protection challenge. Implementing a solution that really makes a difference begins with an understanding of the hazards, the regulations, and the factors that impact protection.

How To Use

N/A Fitting Instructions
  1. ROLL and compress disposable foam earplugs into a very thin crease-free cylinder.
  2. REACH around the head to pull the ear outward and upward to help straighten the ear canal. Insert compressed earplug well into the ear canal.
  3. CHECK FIT after inserting earplug.
  4. LISTEN to steady loud noise with earplugs in both ears. Cover ears with tightly cupped hands. Noise should sound about the same whether or not ears are covered.
CAUTION: For greater comfort and safety, remove earplug slowly with twisting motion to gradually break the seal.
